True but there was this one piece:

"While the port was building the new runway, it extended the grassy overrun areas on the existing runs to 1,000 feet on each end to meet FAA regulations. The new runway and the two runways’ overrun areas required the port to relocate a road at the north end of the airport and move Miller Creek."

They don't have too much room given the airport is built on the edge of a cliff in all but one direction :cool:
No mention of rebuilding the rumored viewing park and I doubt we'll ever see it. What I did find amusing is the whole project is designed for allowing dual approaches/departures during inclement weather (90% of the time here), but as soon as it opens they're shutting 16L/34R to rebuild that runway and that will occur during winter!!!! That project only is set to take six months so they would have been better waiting until next summer surely??? But what do i know.....
