ALGERIAN aviation authorities have lost contact with an Air Algerie aircraft en route from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algiers (http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Algiers), about 50 minutes after take-off, the APS state news agency reported this morning.

Seven News break said it was an A320 and showed a 737-200
Flightaware (Jans Aviation) (http://jansaviation.com/news.php?art=aircraft-lost-over-africa) has it has an MD83 leased from Swiftair (http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled-(Swiftair)/McDonnell-Douglas-MD-83/2458008/L/&sid=188441cb25bcb075be7b878f3e270d01) :confused:
