I have recently read that the 787-9 may have flew to sydney yesterday (sat 9th) or that's the impression I got.

I was only at the airport yesterday avo and had no idea the -9 was coming in? I thought it wasn't going into service until October? Does anyone have any information on this as I would love to get some snaps if they bring her back to sydney again.

Here (http://yssyforum.net/board/showpost.php?p=90220&postcount=3) are some images from yesterday Tara.

ZK-NZE is on its way to Sydney right now, should arrive around 10:30 and depart at 12:30. Air New Zealand are going to use the Dreamliner on the Sydney-Auckland flights for crew training, before launching their Auckland-Perth services, so expect to see it regularly fir a while, sometimes twice a day.

Oh thank you so much Grahame for the update. That's great I look forward to seeing it again.

I caught a glimpse when it was in Auckland but it was in the hangar.
