I heard on another thread a couple of months back that the 2 737-700s left in the fleet were meant to be retired by the end of August this year but it appears this has not occurred.

Also in their group financial report they spoke about retiring the 2 older A330-200 (XFA & XFB) but there was nothing there on the 73W.

Does anybody know if and when they are going to leave the fleet or are they here to stay?

Thanks :)

Mackenzie

From another thread somewhere here, I understand XFA is gone. I'm sure someone else will help with the rest.

I thought both VBY and VBZ were owned outright. I notice they appear at Queensland regional airports frequently so they must serve a good purpose.

Dave -You are correct, both are owned by the airline.

Just to clear things up for everyone (sort of at least), lease aircraft for VA are as follows:
VOX, VUM, VUN, VUW, VUY, YFC, YFE

The following are 8FEs but have a registration holder with addresses not the same as VA, this could mean they are financed or leased, unable to determine.
VUE, VUF, YFF, YFG, YFH, YFI, YFJ, YFK, YFN, YFP, YFQ, YFR, YIJ, YIR, YIS, YIV, YVA, YFC, YVD
