China Eastern Airlines has unveiled a new logo, its first change in over 30 years.
The new design retains the distinctive swallow image as well as the red and blue colours on the carrier’s original logo.

Cheaper to paint that way.
And also, presumably requiring fewer coats of paint, thus reducing the weight of the aircraft by a small value, in turn causing reduced fuel burn.
Every little bit helps in today's industry.
