The summer Tropospheric Ducting is on its way again.
Overnight our ADSB receiver picked up CSN306, the China Southern B787 service from Auckland to Guangzhou operated by B-2737. The aircraft was 554.53nm (1027.6km) from Sydney
and about 300nm east of Brisbane.

Yes Grahame, some big ducts opened up over the weekend. There would have also been some nice HF reception as well.

Picked up the China Southern Dreamliner this morning on ACARS, a first for long distance ACARS reception.

Grahame,
How did you go over the weekend? There was a pretty massive duct open all the way from Sydney to New Zealand. You might have even been able to track an aircraft all the way to Auckland.
