Could they not have used a Sydney based aircraft. What a waste of fuel.
Not a bad fly past though.

I thought maybe an aircraft with a long layover in CBR would have been most efficient...pretty sure there is one on a Sunday!

The QF (744 & 738) that used to fly over the F1 Grand Prix came from Sydney, maybe they conduct some crew training in & out of the planned hold point prior to the fly over.

It's not a waste of fuel when the aircraft is paid for by the event organisers ;)

My comment was a bit "tongue in cheek".
Looked awesome. They should've come back when the race was suspended.
