Update at 9:20 p.m. | The search for a man with a weapon at the Boeing plant has ended, Everett police said. A man with a weapon was never located.

Officials are confident there is no threat, Boeing said in a tweet. Employees have been allowed back inside the buildings.

According to the Everett Police Department, the incident began when an employee called 911 around 7 p.m. and reported a suspicious male carrying a rifle outside a building. A second employee called 911 shortly after the first caller and reported seeing a man carrying a weapon. The two employees were interviewed by officers.
