Is there an adult version of this tour?

Hi Michael,
It is only as you read it. It is however a great opportunity for the Plane Spotter with kids to get airside for a squiz. :)
If you're referring to a specific 'YSSY Forum' organised tour, the latest Airside Tour conducted for 'Adults' was held earlier this year in April. We may consider organising something in the new year, but unfortunately there are no guarantees.
For more details on this event however, please contact:

Thanks Kurt - no worries, I went on the tarmac tour in April this year and it was fantastic, looking forward to the next one! :)

I'm booked on one of the tours with my wife and kids. It's the only chance I've ever had to take the kids for a lap of where I work, even though they've seen it from the outside numerous times. My wife's only been on the airfield maybe twice in more than 15 years....
Breakfast with Santa is just a bonus!:p
If anyone's considering doing this event, I'd recommend booking in soon. With only 4 tours, I imagine it's going to be a rather popular event!

Be honest, Nige - you're playing Santa, aren't you?

Yep same 11:30 Sunday, be good for the kids to be able to see where dad works from the other side of the fence, lunch in the terminal doesn't satisfy the curiosity quite like a bus tour around the tarmac. Looking forward to it.

There's still tickets left for all Santa breakfasts and tours, both Saturday AND Sunday, but ticket sales close TODAY.

Had a great morning (and day really). The event was outstanding, very professionally run and the kids absolutely loved it. The event just ran seamlessly. The airport tour was also very good with a full lap around. The firies put on a nice display of the water and foam canons washing the bus. First time ever in my life I have seen Santa and Mrs Claus at the same place - amazing.
Need to know what these things (huts) are though, at 07 threshold? Anyone know.

Scott, that's all part of the SWSOOS (Southern and Western Suburbs Ocean Outfall System). Sydney Water and their subcontractors do regular maintenance here on their grit pits.
My kids also loved the event and it's something I'd highly recommend if it's done again in future years. Hats off to the organisers and performers for making it a very entertaining day.
