I am flying overseas at about 7pm on a weekday, where I will have to work during the day.

My airline that will be flying with (not Qantas) do have several flights in the morning on the same day, and I don't want to bring my luggage to work.

Therefore may I ask is it possible if I can do my bag drop and check in during the check-in time for the morning flight then go straight to the gate on the evening after work?

Thank you.

I've never heard of that being permitted. I'd imagine there is a fair bit of back end information the airline needs to process prior to opening check in the normal 3 hours prior.

Sydney Airport does offer a bag storage service.

My best suggestion is drop your bag at the airport in the morning and check in online. At least then you'll only have to drop your bag with the airline. That should be quicker.

Cheers

Check in opens well before -3 with through checks etc occurring and early checkin occurs in a lot of overseas airports including for Australian carriers.

Check with your airline as it differs by airline and port.
