"Qantas will begin daily flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport in August 2015" From an unknown Australian destination (My guess is BNE)

Brilliant news, it's great to see Qantas starting to open new routes again. My guess would also be BNE. I guess we'll have to watch this space!

Probably dual A330s allowing the 747 fleet to now get down to 9.

How does it allow the 747 fleet to drop? They are still, from what the article says keeping Narita. So will need more capacity in reality.
Though my guess/theory is once the A330-200's start getting the new J the couple of birds currently configured for domestic with fixed IFE down the back may well start being seen on international routes, replaced by the last few JQ returns or supplemented by 737's.
Qantas are also starting to use their existing -200's in international config on more international routes than before. The 4 times weekly SYD-CGK for example is now more or less -200, whereas in the past -300's, so there is a/c freed up somewhere there too.

I think James is suggesting dropping NRT to A330 as well as starting an A330 service to HND
