VH-SLD arrived at Douglas Aerospace in Wagga, likely being repainted.

VH-SQY departed for Leigh Creek, Yulara to Kununurra this morning after being based in Wagga for a few weeks.

A41-206 made two low flyovers (305 m) at RAAF Base Wagga on Wednesday for the final passing out parade for 2014.

Five light aircraft flew west over Mona Vale in tight formation around 1750 today. Anyone know what they were doing ?

The sound of the five engines very close together was great.

I got some photos Grahame that I will post later tonight. They appeared to be Red Baron aircraft (2x Pitts & 3x Alpha 160's) followed by a chase plane. Came from northern beaches way, flew over Mosman & did a couple of circuits around the middle of the harbour.

Thanks Jayden, They were heading west and away from me by the time I got outside, however my wife said the front two were red. Didn't catch the chase aircraft.

Runway 34R is closed with at least 5 ground vehicles on the runway. The queue for Runway 34L departures is 10 long at this stage, banking back across Bravo 10 and into Charlie.

Any information ?

There were scheduled works on that runway and a Notam was in place for the closure.

It was in Wagga to get the red with silver outline "Virgin" painted on the repaired tail section. As to why it went to Melbourne, no idea.

It passed through YSSY tonight and seemed to be taxiing straight. I didn't see it fly, although with the NE seabreeze in full swing I dare say it flew a little crabby :)

Picking up an aircraft with the ICAO "C81A5F" which has been flying around 1890m but now at 2469m, according to some online sources it is NZ7001 (RNZAF C-130H Hercules)
