Oversized Luggage

Hi All,

Just a question on the oversized luggage system at Sydney Intl.

If you have oversized luggage you obviously have to take it to one of the oversized luggage areas. Are you able to check in here as well or do you just drop your luggage off and then move on to the check in desks for the airline you are flying?

In MEL and I am sure SYD would be the same you first check-in at the airline check in desk so it can be weighed and tagged and then you take it to the oversize area.

Oversized luggage is checked in at the normal check in counters, then dropped off at the oversize area. Same for both Domestic and International.
