Just watched VH-WII do a nice scenic flight from Sydney Airport, north along the coast from Maroubra Beach to Curl Curl Beach, and then back via the Harbour
to the Airport Helipad.

For this flight WII would have contacted Sydney Delivery on 133.8 requesting a Maroubra 4 Outbound clearance. If this clearance is approved, the pilot would
change frequency to Sydney Tower 120.5 for a take off clearance.

Maroubra 4 requires the helicopter to track at 1000ft via Southern Cross Drive, north of Wentworth Avenue, to East Gardens Shopping Centre, then via
Firzgerald Avenue to Maroubra Beach. East of the coast the requirement would have been to descend to exactly 500ft and join Victor 1 northbound.

The broadcast frequency for Victor 1 is 120.8 and on joining this coastal route, the pilot would broadcast his current position and intentions. A requirement
for Victor 1 is to track along a line joining Ben Buckler (northern headland at Bondi Beach), and Long Bay Headland. Aircraft tracking southbound on Victor 1
should fly 1nm east of this line. There is no Contour Flying of the Eastern Suburbs beaches, so WII would have requested an addition clearance to do so. The
area frequency here is Sydney Centre on 125.8Mhz.

Approaching South Head WII would make a final broadcast on Victor 1 120.8, then contact Sydney Departures 123.0 and could climb to 1000ft, the lower limit
of the Class C airspace. Below 1000ft over Sydney Harbour is reserved for Helicopters and Float Planes, and clearances for a Harbour Scenic 1 is at 1500ft in
Class C airspace and requires a clearance. From this point on WII would be in constant contact with Sydney Departures for clearances back along the harbour,
over Darling Harbour and then back to the Airport Helipad.

An ERSKINEVILLE 4 Inbound approach would have been request, which is from Darling Harbour at 1000ft, via Central Railway, Redfern Station, Erskineville Oval,
then direct to the Stamford Hotel on descent to 500ft. The Clearance Limit is the Stamford, and WII would have contacted Sydney Tower on 124.7 at Erskineville
Oval. Sydney Tower would give the final approval for the approach to and landing at the airport helipad.

Hopefully I have this reasonable correct.

For all departures that are east of the extended 16L/34R centreline, such as the Maroubra 4, they use Tower 124.7.

Google pickup Nigel, I missed the Tower Frequency line between the a Western and Eastern routes in the FAC for YSSY.

Note: Receipt of this clearance does not constitute a take-off clearance.
If DEP FM Airport Heliport, contact TWR 120.5 for take-off clearance for: ROSEHILL 4 -- OUTBOUND
WANDA 4 -- OUTBOUND
GEORGES RIVER 4 -- OUTBOUND
or contact TWR 124.7 for take-off clearance for:
ERSKINEVILLE 4 -- OUTBOUND
HARBOUR BRIDGE 4 - OUTBOUND
BARRACKS 4 -- OUTBOUND
MAROUBRA 4 -- OUTBOUND
CAPE BANKS 4 -- OUTBOUND.
