Air Canada flight 624 has crashed on a runway at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Canada, the airline has confirmed. The plane reportedly hit power lines and sustained extensive damage upon crash-landing. No passengers were killed.

Air Canada (https://twitter.com/AirCanada) have confirmed the incident, stating that 22 people have been transported to hospital for observation and treatment of minor injuries.

The aircraft initially held for 15 minutes at 9000ft, before making the landing attempt in low visibility, low ceiling and high winds. A photograph of the aircraft suggests that the left wing was completely destroyed, and the aircraft may be a rightoff.
