Are they going to be using Jetstar, or Jetstar Asia aircraft?

I think it will be JQ as they were recently recruting for that base

Been on the cards for some time, good to know its finally happening:)

Flights from perth to Singapore are quite expensive, so hopefully this brings it down a bit:)

Something wrong on the timetables though, its listed as a 7:25 hour flight

Are these services as a addition or a reduction to QF's 2-3 daily PER-SIN flights?

Cheers

I would think that this might affect Tiger's 2nd daily Perth service...

Would you take JQ over TR to Changi?

Absolutely if they arrive at Terminal 1 and not the budget terminal.

I assume JQ will use Term 1?

I wasn't aware of the new TR service, what are its flight times? Looked on the TR website and couldn't find anything!?

JQ also have a bit more legroom than TR and if you are a FF status or club member you get lounge access.

2 daily return flights through QF, and 1 daily return through JQ.

Correct. Jetstar currently operate from Terminal 1 at Changi with the MEL/DRW and CNS/DRW services, and I'd say the same for PER. We slotted into a gate right between two Qantas A330s the last time I operated the SIN. So they seem to group us together.

This was listed on the Perth Airport website since May! I was meaning to ask someone about it... Obviously the schedule below is not correct as it shows the flight is currently operating. I thought maybe the schedule they show was incorrect as it would appear to use an aircraft ex-SIN (doing a PER shuttle), not the other way around.

Does Jetstar plan a change to their DRW-SIN schedules, or could they be using a JQ Asia aircraft and crew (as with SIN-DRW-CNS previously)?

International Northern Winter & Northern Summer Flight Schedules (http://www.perthairport.com/Default.aspx?MenuID=15)

Notice the slight change in flight numbers, times similar. It has me very intrigued regarding what Jetstar will do with the Perth-based 320. CGK/DPS Timings are not good for an intra-WA flight in between. East Coast, perhaps?

Indeed i had noticed this on PER airport website before aswell.

Perhaps they may take over a 1 x daily route that QF has running now? CBR would stay QF for government reasons i would think, perhaps DRW?

You can always pick up a reasonable cheap flight with Tiger, its the tax's that are stupid

bahh i'd much rather fly with QF, SQ than Tiger...JQ adds a low cost option with some more leg room compared to tiger.
