Evening all,

Brand spanking new China Eastern A330-200 B-8231 (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/B8231) is operating 'MU561/562' tomorrow. Current Arrival Time is 0830.

This will be its 1st visit to Sydney and to Australia. It was delivered back on 20/9/15.

Yep, still has the Brazilian flags on it with the "Avianca" whited out and Australian rego replacing the Brazilian rego.

B-HNR is due in tonight as CX139, first flight into Australia.

While Fiji 910 was taxiing to the Alpha 1 Holding Point for a Runway 16R departure, they requested a return to the gate because of a problem in the cabin. When they arrived at Gate 31 there was no one there to meet them, and they had to wait.

15:11L Cabin problem resolved and aircraft taxiing for the Alpha 1 Holding Point Runway 16R

15:16L QF761 VH-VYE reported a possible bird strike (Ibis) on rotation from Runway 16R, just after the intersection with Runway 07. Ambulance AM267 on final for 16R was advised, and the Tower requested a visual inspection for a carcass. Car-3 entered the Runway at Bravo 3 and inspected down to Bravo 10.

Another Bird Strike this morning, this time JQ409 on short final just before the threshold on Runway 16L - no Runway inspection was required, however CAR-2 is going to check the undershoot to the threshold. The aircraft will no doubt be checked by engineers at the Gate.

Surprised this didn't make it on here... B-HXG (A343) operating CX197 HKG-AKL diverted to SYD this morning, apparently with the #3 shut down. Haven't seen anything conclusive re the severity of the tech issue but have seen that CX198 AKL-HKG is cancelled.

Any updates on the status of this? Was parked up on the 70's at 1400.

Took off from BNE at 2pm and returned around 1545 hrs.4 flights in past 4 days out of BNE.

Interesting to see VH-VOK/VOZ336 (BNE/MEL) is flying at 22,000 ft while other aircraft are 36-40,000 ft. Must have some sort of issue to be flying 14,000 ft lower.
