Xiamen Airlines Inaugural Fuzhou-Sydney Service

Xiamen Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner B-2763 touched down on Sydney's Runway 16L this morning, operating the inaugural service from Fuzhou to
Sydney. This service will operate three times per week, and will be followed on the 6th December 2015 with a twice weekly Xiamen to Sydney service (to
increase to 4 times per week in February for the busy Chinese New Year period). Both routes will be operated by the Xiamen Dreamliner. Sydney Airport
Corporation CEO Kerrie Mather, representing the NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events, Mark Coure, and Ms Wong from the Chinese
Consulate-General in Sydney, all welcomed Xiamen Airlines CEO Che Shanglun and Xiamen Airlines to Sydney.

Can someone please tell me the call sign used by Xiamen Airlines on ATC? It sounds like Sharm Air 807, Sammy Air 807 or Sam Air 807 depending on the pilot of the day, but could be just the way that Xiamair is pronounced in English by a Chinese speaker. The air traffic controllers have not nailed it for me either when they use the call sign.

Confirmation would be appreciated. Many thanks.

I haven't actually listened to the ATC for Xiamen Airlines James, however Xiamen is pronounced "Shamen" from what observed at the media conference. I will keep an ear out for the ATC version.

"ShamenAir" is how it sounds, like it's all one word.

Callsign is "Xiamen Air"

How you pronounce it is anyone's guess...

Thanks so much to you all. If Xiamen is pronounced Shamen in Chinese then ShamenAir is what I am hearing. ATC also seems to be pronouncing the call sign as ShamenAir, not as spelt.
