OK, that is good.

Is it a little longer than most?

You are seeing the directors cut, crew have access to a variety of videos depending on the scenarios they come across, such as quick taxi/takeoff vs the R34r airport tour at YSSY :D

The ad has a very calm feel about it, and hits the mark on so many levels - I think it is definitely better than the the ANZ ads. A quantum leap forward, but still gets all the messages across beautifully. Because the characters in the ANZ ads are so high profile, I think they take your eye off the safety message.

I think the video is great.... but not as a safety video. If you are hearing impaired or don't understand English, you would have no idea it was a safety video and think it was a tourism advertisement.

I like it, love the local content etc, but rather than marketing genius may I suggest it has a stunning style rip off of the Hawaiian Airlines A330 video?

The similarities are interesting! (plane drawn out in the sand for one of many examples):

Is this played instead of a FA speaking?

United Airlines played the following similar style safety video for a while - and was played instead of the FA speaking.

On a recent flight, I noticed they had updated it to a new version, which I found and linked below.

I like the new Qantas video, but I think the first United one above is more effective as a safety video.
