Early reports indicate a fly Dubai 737 has had issues in southern Russia.

Flydubai flight FZ981 has crashed in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don killing all 59 passengers and crew on board. The flight was en route from Dubai and crashed during a landing approach.
Air-traffic control and local emergency services confirmed that the Boeing 737-800 jet crashed near the runway during a second approach in conditions of poor visibility

Terrible news, condolences to all involved.

Looking at the debris field, that's one hard hit.

Poor buggers.

New video of the accident appears to show the aircraft in a slight climb, then presumably stalling and diving at about 60 degrees until impact. At the very start of the video you can see the beam from the aircraft's landing lights pointing slightly upwards to the left, and I assume that this is the glow on the way down (not an explosion on board).
