Singapore Airlines (SIA) has decided not to extend the lease contract for its first Airbus A380. The carrier’s first five A380s, delivered from 2007, are on 10-year leases. Decisions about keeping them are due between this month – for the initial aircraft – and April 2017. The first Singapore Airlines A380, and the first ever A380 delivered to an airline, will be returned to its owner, German investment fund Dr. Peters Group, in October 2017

I'm sure this announcement will pique the interest of IAG which has said (fairly) recently it will look at picking up used A380s as/when they become available.

Perhaps, of course no one has purchased any of the MH birds yet, which are newer.

MH withdrew them from sale, I thought? New CEO decided they weren't so bad after all.

EDIT: I just saw an article in another forum, dated 9th Sept 2016, which says all 6 are for sale again. Christmas comes to IAG, maybe!?
