Jetgo will soon add Embraer ERJ-140LRs to its fleet. (Jetgo)

Jetgo’s first Embraer ERJ-140LR regional jet has broken cover in the United States ahead of its upcoming ferry flight to Australia.
The first of two 44-seat ERJ-140LRs, seen above at Kingman Airport in Arizona, was about to undergo a final maintenance check before the long journey to Australia at the end of September.
The trip was expected to take about 10 days.
The aircraft previously operated under US registration N297SK for Republic Airways Holdings, which provides regional services to the major US network carriers. It has been repainted into Jetgo livery and will have Australian registration VH-ZJG when it enters service in this country.
Currently, Jetgo flies three 37-seat ERJ-135LRs on its regular public transport (RPT) network comprising nine destinations across three states along Australia’s east coast.

There has been several announcements from JetGo regarding new aircraft arriving since it started operations.
We will await for them to appear in Oz.

If its announced BNE-WGA flights are to happen, it will need the ERJ-145LR.
Will be interesting to watch, Kendell/Ansett has been the only airline to attempt BNE-WGA when it had CRJ-200ER in its fleet.

JetGo Australia (JG, Brisbane Int'l) will take delivery of the first of three ERJ-140LR at the end of September. According to Australian Aviation, the aircraft, which will carry the registration VH-ZJG (cn 145522), is currently undergoing final maintenance checks at Kingman. It was previously operated by Chautauqua Airlines (RP, Indianapolis Int'l).

The E140 has just commenced taxi for departure from Sapporo, Japan. No clue of its next stop as yet or where/when it will arrive in Australia (though if I had to guess, maybe next stop Philippines, enter Australia in DRW tomorrow).

Yup, and she's off again... looked originally like it was heading to Taiwan next but has since turned due south. I'd still say next stop is in the Philippines, or pushing all the way down to DRW tonight.

Seems like there's a lot of 'decision-making on the fly', so to speak.

I expect wind and endurance and where fuel is available.
It will be interesting to see if there next aircraft follows the same route.
Did anyone get the intermediate stops ?
ie: Did it refuel at Guam before Palau ?

Agree Greg, just interesting that within an hour of leaving Naha they seemed to change direction twice.
From what I can work out, seems she made TSV and will overnight there tonight.

thanks lloyd,
looks like next stop is Horn Island.
I wonder if it will pick up rego VH-JTG which was recently returned to leasing co.

Horn Island seems like an odd choice for a fuel stop, does anyone have any suggestions as to why they come that way - surely fuel and customs would be easier and cheaper to come via DRW?

Looks like it will pick up VH-ZJE
Regional carrier Jetgo has taken delivery of its second Embraer ERJ-140LR.
The regional jet, formerly US-registered N295SK, touched down in Brisbane on Wednesday night after its ferry flight from Quebec City via Edmonton, Anchorage, Nome, Petropavlovsk, Tokyo Haneda, Taipei, Davao, and Horn Island.
The 44-seat ERJ-140LR aircraft has been painted in Jegto livery and registered in Australia as VH-ZJE.
Jetgo took delivery of its first Jetgo ERJ-140LR in October. Meanwhile, a third ERJ-140LR was likely to join the fleet later in 2017. The three aircraft were acquired from Republic Airlines in the United States.

Missed Monday's inaugural flight into Wagga, have issues with my camera. VH-ZJE operated JGO38/39 on Monday and also today.

Had to shoot blind (since I can't get the display to work, nor can I delete [it works but limited due to the rear buttons not working]). All caused by a broken ribbon cable, done a bodge job to get it somewhat working. Canon Utility gives me some control to adjust the F stop. Sorry for going off topic
