I flew in Qantas B737-800 to Melbourne early this week and I sat on seat 10A. The seat 9A in front of me has no window but the seat 9F had window. The aircraft is VH-VYC. Do other Qantas B737-800 fleet have windows on side of 9A? I am not too sure about it. So would anyone know about that window for 9A and it would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Depends on the config - this website might help for future planning.

Rotor burst zone for left hand engine.

Right hand side doesn't have that issue because the engines rotate the same way and as a result any metal exiting the right hand engine would head away from the fuselage.

Err, starboard side would have similar impact issues to the port side regardless of engine rotational direction, it would all depend on when the parts became detached in the rotation. The real reason for a lack of window is in fact air con ducts to get air to the top of the cabin.
