Travel around one of London’s major airports has been plunged into chaos after the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb.
London City Airport has been closed after waterfront workers unearthed the device in the nearby river Thames.
Royal Navy bomb disposal experts have set up a 214m exclusion zone around the King George V dock, about 15km east of central London. Surrounding roads have also been closed.
