This was announced on Friday by Vietjet vice president:).Today during a interview at Routes Asia at BNE 4-5 flights a week with A321NEOLR.
They ordered 8 of these LR models just last week to do the run.

Ha, good luck. That’s if CASA will allow them.

CASA still allow AirAsia X, AirAsia Indonesia and they didn't have a problem with Indonesia AirAsiaX (which the Indonesian DGAC disallowed) and Malindo. I don't see them disallowing anyone.

Is there any specific reason why CASA wouldn't / shouldn't allow Vietjet?

I could go into a lot of detail but probably best I don’t.

Maybe see what a search of safety incidences involving their aircraft pulls up.

Vietjet’s technical reliability ratio for 2017’s first quarter is also recorded at 99.59%, an increase of 0.02% against 2016’s, a highly impressive rate.

The airline today operates a fleet of 45 A320 and A321 aircraft with an average age of only 3.28 years.

Landing at the wrong airport is serious, but only happened once and it was a while ago now, I would fly them before I flew any Indonesian airline.
