QQ has 9 x F70/100's stored at BTS.

Last check it was 4xF70 and 3xF100 (All OE reg).

Plus VH-UQB & UQF

AA was reporting that UQF is due in BNE this month

Are they the largest Fokker operator, yet?

Yes. Largest F70/100, a few larger fleets of F50 (including around 20 in Kenya).

Almost 3/4 of operational F70/100 are in Australia

They have taken a leaf out of Air Chatham’s book, or REX for that matter, operate aircraft that are old and of small book value. Not a great long term business proposition but airlines rarely are.

Wonder if they might grab P2-ANA and ANB?

One day when Virgin and Qantas don't need the extra capacity that Alliance provides, then they might be in some trouble, until then, they will continue to do well.

They will also need to replace the Fokkers at some point in their medium term future.

Alliance Aviation Services has reaffirmed plans to add nine aircraft to its operating fleet during the 2018/19 financial year.

Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting in Brisbane on October 30, Alliance managing director Scott McMillan said the airline had taken three aircraft so far in the current financial year, with two more due to arrive by December 31 2018.

“The remaining four aircraft are scheduled to complete their entry into service maintenance checks towards the end of this financial year,” McMillan told shareholders in prepared remarks.

“These additions will bring the operating fleet size to 42 aircraft which we consider will meet current and future demand.”

The company ended 2017/18 with 33 aircraft, comprising five Fokker 50s, nine Fokker 70s and 19 Fokker 100s, up from 29 aircraft a year earlier.

Does not surprise me since Helvetic aircraft went into storage at BTS where Alliance still has a couple of ex-Austrian birds stored.

Alliance Aviation Services buys five more Fokker 100 Aircraft

lliance Aviation Services (ASX:AQZ) has entered an agreement with Swiss airline Helvetic Airways for the purchase of five Fokker 100 aircraft.

They also bought Helvetic’s spare engines, parts and tooling.

This acquisition continues to build on their fleet with the purchase of 21 Fokker aircraft from Austrian Airlines in December 2015.

This purchase enhances Alliance’s position as the largest supplier of engines and spare parts outside of Fokker.
