An Air India Express B738 hit the localizer antenna and perimeter wall on take off at Tiruchirappalli Airport. The crew were not aware of the incident and when they were advised they dirvirted to Mumbai for a safe landing. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the belly of the aft fuselage.

They did not divert when being made aware of the impact, the flight was half way to Dubai before they changed their mind!

"We informed the pilot about the hit," the airport director told the IANS news service. "The pilot said nothing was wrong with the plane as the systems were functioning normally. But we found some parts of the plane, like an antenna, on the ground."
