Jetstar Dash 8

Did any hawk eyed spotter notice the Jetstar Dash 8 that sneaked into SYD today?
Strange to see a silver one amongst all those white and red ones!;)

I noticed it on radar. Plan to see it depart. However, might be a bit hard. I have school tomorrow. Btw, are you talking about VH-TQM?

VH-TQM arrived in SYD from Melbourne after doing several laps between MEL-LST-MEL.

There was talk on the "Brisbane Airport Stuff" thread that one of the ex-JQ birds maybe scrapped.

There have been times where I have put Aviation infront of my grades. Though my parents make sure that doesn't happen.

No chance. There is no paint shop at Sydney, only Wagga and Townsville

Repaints are all done in TSV.

It’s just on standby to operate for JQ if needed

I've added this post of Max's from the QANTAS Branding thread to give an update on the current ex-Jetstar Dash8-300 liveries.

TQD is in the process of being repainted into QLink colours.
TQK is now in QLink colours.
TQL was initially going to be repainted but was needed to support JQ flights due to industrial action.
TQM is still in JQ colours and is on standby to operate extra JQ flights due to industrial action.
SBI is in maintenance.

I think just parking over Christmas, TQL is also there. Given the age of the JQ Dash 8s (and other info which i won't go into in a public space), I would guess that one current link frame will be parted out (if any), likely to be one from TQY, TQZ, SBB, SBG, SBJ and SBT
