A week before the COVID-19 pandemic announcement, Virgin was offering one-way flights to LA or Vegas (your choice) for $500 AUD, including all taxes. I was on the verge of booking when all hell broke loose.

I miss travelling and VA because it out-did itself by going far beyond the budget carrier it initially started as. For me, it served an important role as a bridging gap between the cheaper airlines and the full-scale Qantas prices.

One of the local BNE spotters told me on the weekend that 4 x VA 737's were leaving BNE this week for overseas.

Yesterday i noticed VA9003 operated BNE-DRW ...VH-YFK
Today i notice that scheduled out at 1105am is VA 9007 also to DRW.

It does look like these 2 are going .Anyone know anymore or have i missed a link elsewhere?

The Darwin flights are AFL charters.
