Nice to see the regular F18 shuttle heading to NTL, one cannot help but wonder as to all the AN124s future and where/if they may relocate their base, it’s a significant strategic asset.

Hi Mark - the last of the 25 ex RAAF F/A-18s were delivered to Canada months ago. The AN-124 inbound to NTL, UR-82008, is coming from Andersen AFB Guam via Cairns according to FR24. I would surmise that is returning RAAF equipment used in the recent Cope North exercise.

That makes sense.

If correct, that's an odd way to deliver F-35s because all the others have flown in to Williamtown and photos of three of the latest to be delivered, A35-043, -046 and -048 landing at Williamtown from Guam on 19 February appeared on the Defence Images Website.
