Spotting by boat from Botany Bay?

If anyone has done any spotting or photography of YSSY by boat, I'd appreciate opinions on the best places around the bay to spot from. Thanks in advance. A friend with a boat is wiling to take me out onto the water.

Not sure about locations but there are restrictions and exclusion zones in place:

Yes it has been done. I think Kurt Ams and co hired one many years ago. I think the issue was the heat haze off the water ruined a lot of photos.

I will be out on the Bay the week after next. I'll post an update after that. I have long wanted to spot from the water.
