The only european carrier operating to Melbourne will soon begin with 787 services via Singapore. The first flight from Istanbul is due to arrive on Saturday 16 March with services from Melbourne to initially operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday before shifting to Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Mark, Turkish Airlines accelerated the commencement of its services to MEL by two weeks, which was a very late decision by the airline and only published by Aeroroutes on 28/1/24. The first two flights, today's and next Tuesdays will be operated by B77W and then with B789s for four weeks or so until the commencement of NS schedules from 2/4/24 (ex MEL) with A359s.

That’s very odd, must of been keen to get started! Cannot imagine they had many pax.

No, but I've heard they're carrying a very healthy amount of cargo.
