My dad just gave me a call and told me that at 11:36 this morning he saw what looked like either a grey KC-10 or a Tristar.
Can anybody confirm what this plane was.
Thanks

RAF L1011 just arrived. Parking on Bay 31 at T1 as I type.
RR3666 was his flight number.
Rego is ZD950.

Thanks Nigel. The old man's eyes are still reasonable after all!! :D If you find out a departure time it would be appreciated.

Bit off topic but,
Also just heard "Kiwi 760" (?) heading into Richmond?
Anyone know what that was?
And "kiwi 773"!!

I saw that from a site I am doing some access control/supervision work at in the Eastern suburbs and could have sworn it was a KC-10* but in my defence this role is 99% boredom and 1% shear mayhem and it did pass over during the 1%
Cheers
Chris
* I did think at the time I couldn't see the boom!

Pardon my ignorance, but just out of curiosity, why do military planes such as the L1011 go to YSSY and not YSRI?

Yeap, or the cargo they are carrying is required to be moved onwards by domestic means within Australia, not military.

Two RNZAF King airs ( it looked like) arrived at YSRI yesterday and departed this morning about 0900

I understand the L1011 is returning British defence personnel to the UK after 4mths secondment in Australia. Supposedly departing Fri 15th, ETD unknown.
