Morning All,

From Sep 1 08 JQ have introduced a new international daily service from ADL-DRW-ADL.

The new flightsare are as follows
JQ 69 Dep DRW at 0750 Arr ADL (Int) at 1130
JQ 70 Dep ADL (Int) at 1210 Arr DRW at 1555

If you go book through the JQ site it clearly states the flight arrives and departs from the international terminal at Adelaide.

I have looked everywhere to see where the flights continue onto from Darwin. What I also found was from December JQ are operting from Darwin to Bali and form Bali to Singapore using Australian registered A320's.

As the QF site schedules are not updated past the 31st of Sept. Reason becuase the flight goes back to the way is now but as JQ are closing their Adelaide crew base, they arent't having anymore aircraft overnight here, also becuse the Avalon Flight is still loaded on these schedules. I can't find out if this flight is to continue.

If anyone has more information on this flight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Justin L

The flights are retimed to provide one-stop ADL to SGN and SIN via DRW.

Thanks for that Justin, I really appreciate it.

It quoted in that media release that the flight numbers stay the same (JQ 669-670) but as I mentioned above the flight is classified as international. Which source is true? Do us Adelaideians classify it as an international flight?

Just a guess, but by classifying it as International out of Adelaide, passengers could clear customs in Adelaide and just transit through Darwin. Domestic passengers would get the "D" sticker boarding pass I suppose. According to the JQ booking engine, the SYD-DRW-SGN flight leaves from Domestic T2 in Sydney (due to slot restrictions perhaps?), so SYD originating passengers would go through customs in DRW based on that, so by making ADL an international departure it's a way to spread out the processing I suppose. The ADL arrival/departure time is also when the terminal is divided off into its international mode, so I guess it's practical to classify as an international flight also.

Where did you find the information about Darwin-Bali? Not showing on their website. At the moment QF are codesharing on the Air North service DRW-DPS.

Steve,

I actually found the information the QF online Schedukles where for the month of September JQ37 is operating SYD-DRW-DPS on Monday's only using A320 aircraft. JQ38 operates on Tuesday's (arriving into Sydney) via Darwin aswell.

These Schedules are
Dep SYD 1555 Arr DRW 2005 Dep DRW 2035 Arr DPS 2100
Dep DPS 2225 Arr DRW 0150 Dep DRW 0220 Arr SYD 0710 (Next day)

As for DRW-DPS from December, I actually found on Bali Airports Wikipedia page, which also said they were flying Bali-Singapore using Australain registered aircraft.

Stefan,

If the MEL-DRW-SIN is anything to go by, it also is classed as an "International service" however, the MEL-DRW-MEL sector also operate as a domestic flight with the flights operating to/from Qantas Domestic at Tulla.
Just a confusing one for the "Andrew logging system!!"

Jetstar finally updated their flight schedule page, but they have left off their ADL-DRW and DRW-ADL service.
