Starting Sept 26th our LAX crews will be flying an Air Pacific Charter LAX/NAN/SYD/AKL (watch out Mr. Ramsay). Supposedly these charters will go on thru the end of November. These are 8 day trips for the crews so watch out for an influx of flying granny's (probably 14) from Los Angeles gone wild around town.:eek::eek:

Aircraft will be the 400.

Oh noooooooooo .. not the flying grannies .. lock the doors .. hide the male population .. UA's grannies are coming to town.

It'll be nice to see some UA metal here, it's been a while. Pity you can't make it down here, Mike.

Yes, our equipment/our crews....and David no way will I get a chance to work those trips..LAX will guard those with their lives !!! (Nan and AKL layovers) though I could always just non-rev down.while the opportunity exists..you'd have to provide direction to "the good pub's" (Firehouse included if it's still there) I will have to see how the loads look once the trips start and also timing since I'm on vacation again in November and will be headed for the Gold Coast.

Why SYD-AKL?

Radi, I dont have a clue mate...I'm sorry. I just drive the bus on the routes provided and do my best to see that they leave on time and get there in one piece. The rest comes under the term "management" (a term very loosely used when applied to UA) and something that I have even less of a clue about so lets not even go down that road.:D

I assume that it will all make sense in good time (or not) but either way that's the way it was written in the Ops bulletin we all got and that's how I passed it on to everyone here on the board.

More to come I'm sure...the folks here on the board will probably end up knowing more about it than us. (nothing new there either)

Cheers (and a few beers/bourbons)

No sign of the first arrival on the Sydney Airport arrivals up to Tuesday 30 September, 2008. If it left LAX on 26 September, 2008 it would have arrived in Nadi on 27/28 September, 2008 and 2 or 3 nights in Fiji would see it in Sydney by next Wednesday at the latest, one would think.

From what I can tell in Galilao Air Pacific are using Flight numbers in the 5900 series for there charters, I do stand to be corrected.
