i am sure this has been spoken many times before, but i have tried a search and could not find anything.
dose anybody have any news on the arrival or current status of Singapore Airlines Airbus A330 aircraft. correct me if i am wrong but i think they are getting these aircraft as compensation as a result of the A380 Delay.
thanks,
joe.

I researched this a few weeks back when an article said they were coming to BNE, and found they were coming around may next year with i think 19 coming over 2 years.
And yes i believe it is apart of compensation for the 380

They are getting something like 20 A330's I believe and they are being provided on lease to cover the gap from when the A350's will arrive.
Whilst they would have received a good amount from Airbus for compensation, I think the A330 choice had more to do with the A350 order.

Michael hi
Basically thru 30 years in the industry and having alot of contacts however as you appreciate i cannot reveal this exact source on this board.
Let me know in April if i am correct.
Brisbane and Nagoya were always the first 2 ports notified already by SQ however i was not aware of Perth till told this week.I am not aware of MEL being a 333 port.

Looks pretty :) - but it would look better with GE engines, in my opinion. :p

Keep your eyes out for -STC I've read various sources that mention the aircraft has already lost lots of paint of it's wings and it's fuselage roof is very tatty looking already.
