Evening all,
Apparently this made its first visit to Syd today as QF118 sporting the new QF livery.

Thought it would have been more economical having a 738 on that route.

QF47 is SYD-WLG, not SYD-CHC.

I think the cheaper crews propbably make up for the fuel costs!

It was in again thismorning but landed 16L so bad for photos. Didnt look too bad but I can't say it was the best but non the less another one in new colours.

Cheaper crews coupled with the more fuel efficient 738 would be even better wouldn't it?

Qantas can't reshuffle?

Qantas can't reshuffle?
It's a seperate company (although same owner) I don't think they can shuffle but I guess they could transfer if it were economically viable.

It's not quite as easy as reshuffling.
Jetconnect would need to add the 800 to their AOC, get their tech crew a NG conversion, do a differences course for their cabin crew etc etc.
That being said it's surely only a matter of time, the 300/400's aren't as competitive on a product nor capacity basis with PB 800s or NZ 320s.

Compare these two pictures of ZK-JTR:

Can someone tell me why the LH engine is on the RH side in picture 2? I am positive that the engine strake sits on the inboard of the engines.
Also, note that the brow windows have been removed.

Also, note that the brow windows have been removed.
A few of the original VX series 800s have had them removed as well. VXG and VXK spring to mind.
