Not the best of weather this morning, fairly dull and overcast, however I was out there anyway so I always enjoy a good look around. It was interesting to catch up with Bob Bell and hear all about the Bell 47s trip from Perth to Sydney, and thank you to the guys working on the Scottish Avialion Twin Pioneer for the good look around, inside and out. They were just trying to do an engine runup which requires the props to be turned 20 revolutions before firing them up. Unfortunately a wind squawl with some light rain came through and I was also running out of time, so I did not get to see if they were successful.

Hi Chris,

I saw the Rapide back in April after it returned from the Temora Air Show, and I just love the distinct sound of those engines. It normally goes to the AOPA hanger.

Hi Grahame,
Thought I might have seen you today at Schofields Flying club, they hosted Funflite 08 which in conjunction with the Starlight foundation provided entertainment and joyflights for youngsters facing various challenges in life.
I was there assisting with the photography so most of the days images are not for public display but happily they show many smiling faces.
The members of the club and others operated approx 50 flights over Sydney and the Northern beaches for the kids and their families.
A great day, professionally run by the club.

Cheers

I was out there on Saturday morning Chris, but had some house painting to do outside today. There were more aircraft than normal passing overhead my house and along the beaches, no doubt related to the Funflite 08. Sounds like it was very successful.
