Hey guys
I am heading to Adelaide tomorrow and was wondering where are some good spots to go spotting there?
Cheers

The terminal is good for viewing. Also along the western end of the airport
(Tapley's Hill rd) is a viewing area/carpark. There is not much within walking
distance so if you are venturing outside the terminal a car would be handy.

As David said, thru the Terminal windows is an excellent view.
Today the glass might be a bit spotty as we have had some overnight showers.
(They arrived just in time for tonight's Andre Rieu concert )
Inside the southern end you will get some excellent shots of the Alliance Fokker 50s taxying past and up the northern end are the Rex Bays with up to 6-7 SAAB 340 there at a time.

Things must have changed a little lately.
I was attempting to photograph the blue Malaysian 777 through the terminal windows a couple of years ago, when I was approached by security and warned to put the camera away, "or it would be confiscated immediately. No photographs of the tarmac area will be permitted", I was told.
Adelaides new International Terminal had only just opened, so maybe there was an extra bit of tension or hype at the time. Good news if it is OK now!
The only perimeter area I have used is an afternoon spot, excellent for northbound finals, but takeoffs are generally a little to high to do justice. It is a parking area adjacent to Tapleys Hill Rd, just south of the Brand Depot outlets. You really do need a car to get there.
Hope this helps, cheers John
