hi matthew,
i have found this website for you regarding some informative information.
also, i was going through some picture on the net and i have found that the 06/07 season was a First Choice Boeing 757, G-OOBA
and the 08/09 season will also be a 757 G-MONJ under Monarch Airlines
from the information on the site i think they all depart from Australia (sydney) but only two are on a private 757, the rest are on a normal schedule QF flight.
Wonders of Asia & Africa- departs Sydney 31 January 2009 and also 20 Feb 2009
Equatorial Explorer- departs Sydney 11 March 2009

MONARCH AIRLINES 757 - G-MONJ

i also believe QANTAS was also apart of this charter, flying a 747.
it would be great if someone could post some pics of the QF jet.
hope this was helpful matthew

Taxiied along Charlie not Alpha so the photos had really bad heat haze. I will out on up. It was "Monarch 9932" at Gate 51 I think.
Any ideas for times of both 75's?

Grose heat haze. TF-FIA(the other 757 in) is set to leave just after 11am or there abouts tomorrow morning I think.

Just an update - the Iceland air is still at Bay 98 but there is activity around it. The Monarch is right over by the M5. It would be nice if someone managed a photo of both in one shot but it looks unlikely.

GA ramp/eastern park was absolutely chockers when I was out yesterday to see the Monarch arrive. With TF-FIA parked there, obviously just no space to put the Monarch there as well- Reg Grundys 737 arrived back in Syd early yesterday evening too which added to the congestion.
FWIW, Monarch let pax off on bay 51 - the one just near the construction area.
2 in one shot seems unlikely unfortunately!

Please tell me the Monarch aircraft will still be here this weekend.
And yes the GA area has resembled a Westfields carpark the last week or so.

Yeah, the parking lot over in the GA area must be making YSSY happy.........think of all the income they are making :p
Looks like Tim got a great shot even with the heat haze. The usual suspects have now parked in front of it so you will have difficulty spotting it from the Mound.
