Hi,
I know A333 QPA is back in service now after her misshap.
Just wondering if OJK is back in service yet?

I grabbed a shot of VH-OJK in Hong Kong today with my phone. The patches done on the flaring and the nose cone look much whiter than the rest of the fuselage. =)

I'm surprised Qantas didn't take the opportunity of these two mishaps to repaint OJK. Most of the OJ series must be coming due for a repaint soon, and they still only have one of their 30 747s in the new 'thumper' scheme!

One of the OJ series or one altogether? I think one of the OE series is there...

OJK has been working hard in the last week, an interesting rotation, LAX, JNB and LHR ...

Wow imagine the shock when you rocked up at the airport expecting a 767 to see a 744 at the gate.

In regard to Andrew's post, you would think that QANTAS would have the ability to repaint their 744 fleet now that three A380s have entered service leaving spare 744 capacity.

I don't think its a matter of having spare capacity. Its more to do with cost saving... if the 744 isn't due for a repaint, then there is no reason to take it to the paint shop.

I have a feeling that they will not be repainted. I also think that the old Qantas livery is better on the 744.

Why would Qantas ferry a 744 from LAX-SYD?

OJK already has the newer 'Spirit of Australia' titles....there are plently of other QF B744's such as OJA, OJG, OJH, OJS, OJT, OJU, OEC and OED have the older 'SPIRIT OF AUSTRALIA' titles and are in far worse paint condition.
I reckon it'll be fair to say that UA will of painted all their fleet into the new colours by the time QF gets around to doing 1/2 their fleet.
-OJH hasn't been painted since 1999.
