Looking on http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDS60901/IDS60901.94809.shtml
Edithburgh in South Australia, the temp is 42.2 with an AT of 59.0, dew point 42 and humidity of 99%.
Is the AT a measure of windchill (heat) if so it must be quite unpleasent outdoors there.

That sounds nasty!! I've never seen a DP so high before!! At uni I've been studying how to design houses that stay cool in high temps/humidity, but this would be just impossible...

Hmmmm, that just doesn't seem right. A dew point of 42??

Well aware of that Brenden. But that would essentially mean it's raining.
Just doesn't seem right. Have a feeling something is wrong there.

Gotta agree Mick F, I looked at the Obs for the Adelaide region and every other station was reporting "normal" values.
It genuinely appears there was an issue with the Edithburgh AWS. Meltdown perhaps?! :D

It was bloody hot in Adelaide yesterday. I think the weather station was faulty.
On mine I recorded a maximum of 40.8 C
