No 380 out of melbourne on a sunday.I beleive 2 are on the kangaroo route and one is on its way back from LAX. could have been OJK ferrying back to syd from avalon.

VH-OJK ferried up as QF6196.

Very interesting, we have QF6014 arriving from Mel tomorrow at 13.10, any idea?
That could be the aircraft inbound as QF94 from LAX as monday is usually A380 ops to LAX

The positional flights are QF6014 from Melbourne after QF94 is completed and QF6013 from Sydney.

Indeed, i thought it was weird seeing a 744 doing a domestic run from the domestic terminal, turns out it was -OJK.
Passegners didn't know...i wonder what would've happened if they did know:p

It must be a logistic hastle and expensive task to reposition the A380s and B744s operating the QF93/94 flights. Wouldn't it be easier to change over the flights in LAX so the outbound QF93 from Melbourne returns to Sydney as the QF12 and vv when needed, thereby eliminating the need to reposition from Melbourne to Sydney and vv.
This could also be done with the B744 flights on other days. Some repositioning would probably still be required but not as much as present.
