I hear Bell 212 N1073W has just arrived on the YSSY GA ramp on the back of a truck from Port Botany. Apparently it will be built up this evening and flown out early tomorrow morning.

It arrived by boat from Noumea. Blue and yellow chopper of McDermots Aviation that has been here in previous years for the fire season.

Arrived back from Townsville this arvo at 1645 on DJ. Used runway 34L, as we got to adjacent the radar field, came across a procession, a semi (with Bell 212 N1073W on the back) and 3 cars.
Is then followed us down the taxiway and headed across to the GA area.
Must have entered the airport by a gate near the end on 16L?

That's right, we entered via Gate 16 next to the No 1 Fire Station, then Car 2, Semi, AQIS and I went via Bravo-10, Bravo, Rwy 07 and Echo to behind Bay 99 where the semi carrying the rotors and a crane were stationed.
We heard they were pretty keen to get the bird in the air due to the forecast this weekend, hence the quick unload and assembly.
