This was probably answered last year and the year before, but for those who have lost a lot of brain cells due to an affair with Jim Beam; is the Sydney YSSY curfew lifted on the changeover day for the finalisation of daylight savings?

The Sydney airport arrivals page shows international flights arriving from 5.10am (Air France AF8096 from SNG) {unless things have very recently changed} for Sunday Morning. Is this a once off each year?

Usually excited to wake up at 5.59am (Annandale) to our first 16R arrival, but 5.10am won't produce any good photos from the back yard, so what's the use?

If any one knows - let me know.

I don't think there is any change to the curfew, however, I think some services can land prior to 6am, but after 5am, if they can use 34L. And that is all year round.

During daylight savings curfew operates between 2300-0600.

Outside of daylight savings, only a small number of flights can land on Rwy 34L between 0500 and 0600. I think it's only 2 Qantas flights, one from British Airways and one from Singapore (I stand to be corrected, and probably will be...).
If the tail wind component is too strong for them, then they join the queue to land after 0600 like the rest of them.

Or they land anyway, use more brakes than usual and watch the brakes catch alight at the gate a la QF6 a few years ago...

Yes, that reminds me...they're not supposed to use reverse thrust on landing prior to 0600 for noise requirements.

At this stage the following aircraft are scheduled to land prior to 0600 tomorrow

QF6 at 0510
BA15 at 0515
SQ221 at 0555
