Found this article on the first Emirates A380 that will be doing DXB-JFK route soon. I believe that Sydney will get the third Emirates A380(LHR gets 2nd).

Shouldn't be too long hopefully now till we see one in full Qantas livery!

From memory, the first EK A380 to fly into Australia will be early February 2009. If you do a dummy booking with them, you might be able to find the specific date. :)

It'll be great in SYD having A380s all over the place. Looks like the International Terminal will be an Airbus haven, with only a number of Boeing 777s and 747s in a few years time.

EK412 will become an A380 on 1 Feb 2009... at least that's what has been loaded at the moment. It also looks like that from that date EK412 will continue onto Auckland and EK418 will continue onto Christchurch. Its the other way around at the moment.

Hopefully Emirates will have another $300 return to NZ sale when they start flying the A380 there.

Do definately agree here...unfortunately only heard about this one at the last minute, and didn't have any holidays to use!

Shame!
