A MAN kicked walls and broke free from restraints before finally being subdued and handed over to Singapore police after attempting to smoke on a Qantas flight. Qantas cabin crew restrained the burly man, believed to be in his 40s, after a toilet smoke alarm went off.

The man was restrained by his hands and mid-section twice after he managed to break free of the restraints once.

He continually yelled and kicked walls throughout the flight.

The man, on flight QF32, was handed over to authorities during a scheduled stop in Singapore.

When will the smokers learn, you can't smoke ;-)

Was an A380 operating that flight?

Not a real great place to be handed over in either. He will certainly feel the full punishment in singapore.

Agreed, also why do these fools always do it on the outgoing leg, they still have to get home and I doubt if QF will let them near their plane again ;-)

He could have worn a nicotine patch, rather than try and smoke in the toilet.

And as for smashing up the aircraft, that seems like a pretty severe type of withdrawal from a cigarette. Maybe a history of mental illness?
