Just heard on 125.3 a callsign that sounded like "Tamsen 4". Does anyone know what a/c this might be. Not showing on SBS, so wonder if it is a military flight.

Cheers

"Tasman" perhaps? I assume it was a kiwi accent?

DHL's "Jedi" B727 uses Tasman 1 and Tasman 2 as its usual callsign these days. It used to be Express 1 or 2.

Tasman 4 flew MEL-SYD this evening. VH-DHE is the bird. Spent the weekend at Tulla. Arrived last Friday night as Tasman 3 from Sydney.

Thanks Nigel. I had thought it was "Tasman" but the Kiwi accent threw me.
I wasn't aware of the change from "Express 1".

It caught me out initially too. I noticed that the baggage tugs used by DHL now sport 'Tasman Freight Services' or something similar on the side
