Yes it arrived as Air Nauru 55 then departed as Air Nauru 333(i think).

I asume it was opperating for the delayed Norfolk Island or Ozjet flight which was parked at the eastern GA. I saw it arrive from the Shep Mound yesterday.

In order of looking stupid, and only being new to spotting and this forum, can someone define where Shep Mound is???

thanks.

Kieren, it's the area under the new control tower where all the geeks gather on a daily basis to geek at planes!

I got some pics of the Norfolk jet in the GA area, there was an OzJet van parked alongside it all day, some sort of breakdown maybe?

Either way it gave me a good chance to grab some pics of the Our Airline plane too.

Thanks Nigel. I spent last Wednesday out at the airport in one of my fav places behind the old ATC taking photos..Got some good ones from there.

The carpark in front of the old tower is great in the afternoon. Unfortunately the heat haze can play havoc on the warmer days as you have to shoot from further away than at the mound.

I dont mind parking on Foreshore drive and taking a hike through to the fence for shots of 34R/16L however the traffic there is basically very limited to domestic airlines + AirNZ and a few others.

Another spot I love which is limited to arrival or departure traffic only is the small grassy off Airport Drive just before the billboards.

Thanks Nick! its so good to be able to hear of a few places to try out! Here are 2 of my favourites from Wednesday - no fancy equipment - just a Kodak camera!

Try the mound next time will give you a better shooting perspective and also kill some of that nasty heat haze and help reduce the effects of the digital zoom.

"Geeks?" Oi, easy there fella!

I'd rather be 'geeking' out on the tarmac in a Nissan Patrol with yellow and black checkers, but we can't all do that now can we?!?!?! ;) :p

Yes...I'd like that too.
