Evening all,

Hawiian 451 tonight will be arriving from Pago Pago. It is due at 2115.

Not sure of reason why it diverted.

Possibly because it is a non ER model?

N594HA was the aircraft that routed Pago Pago-Sydney.

As Micheil said "non-ER".

Regards.

I figure it's the next HA 767 scheduled for maintenance at NZAA. It flew to NZAA this morning as NZ6316.

Is there much difference in the range of the 763 compared to the 763ER models?

Had some family members on this flight, it was indeed going to NZ after operating the flight to SYD via Pago Pago. Apparently only told everyone as they were about to board that they were stopping in Pago Pago, it also had most of the centre seating taped off, they were allowed to use the seats for sleeping but no-one was assigned there for takeoff or landing.

The oldies were a bit suss when told about the 'non-ER' plane and it was then going to New Zealand for maintenance, they are non aviation people so can understand why they were a little miffed.

According to Gerard Frawley's International Directory of Civil Aircraft, 4230-4260nm for the -300 and 5505-5875nm for the -300ER (depending on engines)
